It is well known that the older we get, the thinner our hair becomes. That happened to 71-year-old Jarle too. But where others give up, our man took the situation in hand, and today he has the hair of his youth back.
Jarle Bjølverud is a man in his prime. He is retired, but do not think for a moment he has hung up his boots. He still travels around Møre og Romsdal, where he works with and has responsibility for cars and heavy vehicles.
“I previously worked as a mechanic and workshop manager for a full 47 years at Møller Bil in Molde, the same town I live in with my wife Olga. I have five children and four grandchildren — so far. On top of that I am an active pistol shooter and a sailor.”
Everyone who loves sailing likes wind both at sea and in their hair, and Jarle is no exception.
“I have to say I think a bit of hair looks good, and it has always meant a lot to me. Through a long life I have got to keep my hair, and I am glad of that. Before, I did not do much other than brush it morning and evening to keep the circulation going.”
One day, shortly after turning 70, he noticed there was more hair on the brush than usual.
“Then my wife, who is also my hairdresser, said it had started to get a bit empty up there. I did not quite know what to do, so I even tried rinsing with nettle water,” he smiles.
